Mercedes Hachuel is an award winning Production Designer and Set Decorator, member of the Local 44 (I.A.T.S.E.). Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, with parents from Morocco and Spain, she has a multicultural background that allows her to successfully create worlds for any type of film filled with eclectic, powerful, brilliant and detailed compositions. Her dedication and drive have earned her a strong reputation and international recognition.
Among her latest projects you can find The Chi Season 4 for Showtime, the movie “Starfish” for Hulu, and a Netflix special “Death to 2020” starring celebrities like Samuel L Jackson and Hugh Grant and for which she was nominated as best set decoration from the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA) and worked in the Oscar Qualifying project The Astronaut which was also distributed by HBO. Mercedes has also work in commercials for brands like Sprite, Coca-Cola, Avis, Starbucks, Call of Duty, Verizon, Honda, Toyota; she also worked in Music Videos for Selena Gomez, Rosalia, The Weeknd and Luis Fonsi among many others.
Mercedes’ talent and recognition is growing exponentially in the entertainment industry. She is currently residing in Los Ángeles were she strives on newest, bigger and more magical projects every day.
